 Dr. S. Subramanyan is an eminent academician and a distinguished administrator. He has obtained his Doctorate from IIT, Kharagpur, where he served for 18 years. He was a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Head of the Computer Center at IIT, Kharagpur. He was also the Principal of Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, for 5 years. He has guided three research scholars towards their’s PhD’s and has published more than 35 articles in reputed international and national journals. He has visited Russia, Nigeria, Germany and Singapore on professional invitations.
He has been the Chairman of the IEEE Kharagpur Section. His present research interests are Software Engineering, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and VLSI Design and Genetic algorithms. He has been consultant to various public sector giants such as Indian Oil Corporation, Steel Authority of India Limited., etc. He leads the College by example.
