Director's Profile
Has completed his M.PED Degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, M.Phil from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, M.A from Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He is currently doing his PhD at Bharathiar University; Coimbatore. He has 12 years of experience in both Arts and Engineering Colleges. He has written a book titled “Introduction to yoga” He has presented three papers in UGC sponsored National Seminar. He is also a life member of ISTE. He is the Tamil Nadu State Qualified official in Athletics and Hand Ball. His area of interest includes Scientific Yoga, Sports Psychology, Bio Mechanism, and Sports Management. His additional qualifications are DSYM (Diploma In Scientific Yoga and Meditation) and NIS (Volley Ball) Sports Complex FacilitiesSwami Vivekananda mentioned that playing sports is also a form of meditation. Sports require high level of concentration. It helps to keep fit and create a fire within to succeed. Upon all these things, it develops a sportive spirit in the personality, which helps one to lead his life in a great way Our college has excellent infrastructure required for development of sports skills in students such as volleyball court, basket ball court, table tennis room, carom room, chess room, ball badminton court, football field, cricket ground, cricket nets for practice. To enhance athletic talents of students, we have 400 mts standard track with 8 lanes. The above facilities have been made at a cost of nearly 20 lakhs in an area of 7.5 acres Sports Achievement 2008-09• Our College Badminton Team for women has secured Runners-up in Anna University Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament held at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore from 21-07-2008 to 23-07-2008 • Ms.Mary Jose of IV BE CSE has secured Winners in the Anna University Inter Zone Badminton Tournament held at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore from 15 -08-2008 to 17-08-2008. • Ms.Senbaga Vadivu of II MBA has been represented the college in the TamilNadu state ball badminton team and secured runners up in the All India Ball Badminton tournament held at LNIPE, Trivendram, Kerala. • Anna University Coimbatore Zone Intercollegiate Volley Ball Tournament for men was organized by our college on 07-08-2008 and 08-08-2008. P.S.G College of Technology was the winners and Kongu Engineering College was the runners-up. Our Principal distributed the prizes to the winners and Vice-Principal Presided over the function. • Mr.Azhagu Shanmugam.A.P of III BE Mechanical Engineering has secured Silver Medal in the Decathlon Event in the Anna University Coimbatore Zone Inter collegiate Athletic meet held at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore on 16-09-2008. • Mr.T.Senthil Kumar of I BE Mech has been selected to represent the Tamilnadu under 19 Cricket Team and participated the Hyderabad National Cricket Tournament from 11-09-2009 to 16-01-2009. • “Sri Krishna Trophy” intramural cricket tournament was organized by our college on 17-08-2008. DARE DEVILS Team was the winners and MEMORIES OF SRKV was the runners-up. PLAYERS SELECTED FOR THE ANNA UNIVERSITY COIMBATORE ZONE TEAMS (2008 -09)
