The Department of Science and Humanities strives to be nationally recognized as a premier department with a global perspective to educate leaders who will fashion a more humane and not just knowledge.
The core mission of the Department is to promote learning in the Cultural tradition of India. The Department offers undergraduate students the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as persons and professionals, and the values and sensitivity necessary to be men and women for the well being of others.
The Department will distinguish itself as a diverse, socially responsible learning community of high quality research and academic rigor sustained by a faith that does justice.

Head of the Department’s Profile
Dr.K. Brindha obtained M.A from PSGR Krishnammal College, M.Phil., from Madurai Kamaraj University and Ph.D from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Her Research areas of interest are English Language Teaching and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).
She has published more than 10 papers in National and International Journals and conferences. Moreover she has authored 7 books in the area of Engineering English. She has more than 11 years of academic experience and has been serving the college from the day of induction.
She is an approved guide for M.Phil and Ph.D of Anna University, Coimbatore and has guided 5 M.Phil.scholars towards their award of degrees.
